Sorry for the delay.

I'm the original reporter, who was very happy with DOS=0 since it fixed my
problem (i have crashes with DOS=1).

I just tested this again, with a more recent kernel (2.6.24.16) and now it
crashes with _BOTH_ DOS=1 and DOS=0.
