------- Comment #31 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-11-12 09:36 ------- Test 1: dmesg attached in comment #30 Test 2: Yes, I can hear the beeps when the system resumes back (BTW, it's not a laptop, it's a desktop machine) Test 3: Yes, the symptoms are different. Previously, the system would suspend completely - screen, fans, hard disk - and resume automaticall as soon as the suspend is done. With the commands which you told me to run, the system suspends: The screen is black, the hard disk spins off. But the fans continue working, they never stop. And instead of resuming back inmmadiately, it waits 7 seconds to spin up the hard disk and complete the resume, as the dmesg shows: [ 434.829309] ata3.00: configured for UDMA/133 [ 434.829313] ata3: EH complete [ 434.843283] ata1.00: configured for UDMA/33 [ 441.928647] sd 2:0:0:0: [sda] 234493056 512-byte hardware sectors: (120 GB/111 GiB) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ acpi-bugzilla mailing list acpi-bugzilla@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/acpi-bugzilla
