Hi,
I can also confirm the bug with an ASUS M2A-VM HDMI.

But if HPET-Support is disabled in BIOS, wakeup seems
to work as expected.
I have tested with kernel 2.6.28-rc6 and serveral times
turning HPET-Support on and off.
If HPET-Support is turned off, the PC will wake up reliably.

Probably this helps you finding the problem.
