At the time this comment was written, I was trying to limit early EC
registration by looking on presence of EC._INI field -- which is quite rare.
Now your machine has it too, but does not want early registration -- thus we
need to add one more check "ASUS only". Relation to fan -- if we fail to
properly init EC driver and device, it may decide to keep fan in the state set
by BIOS, or something safe... you never know what BIOS engineer thinks :)
