The scrren goes from the grub entry to black screen, No output and appears frozen. Holding down the power button is then required to power down the machine. The latest build I have running is of linux-2.6.27.8 and will only boot if I omit : High mem (4gb) Symmetric multiprocessing Support (SMP) >From the build.
