------- Comment #85 from homo...@gmail.com 2009-02-17 22:32 -------
08:23:37 pa...@baboon:~$ dmesg | grep MSI
ACPI: EC: Enabling special treatment for EC from MSI.

but again: battery is ok, "acpi -V" shows ok
but some power managers have problems to see if AC is on or off line

08:25:31 pa...@baboon:~$ acpi -V
     Battery 0: Discharging, 93%, 00:52:45 remaining
Battery 0: design capacity 4400 mAh, last full capacity 2509 mAh = 57%
  AC Adapter 0: off-line
     Thermal 0: ok, 53.0 degrees C
     Cooling 0: Processor 0 of 3
     Cooling 1: Processor 0 of 3
     Cooling 2: LCD 3 of 6

this might be related to something else (KDE power manager) but, with patch
"udelay(500) patch" it is ok, while with both: mslepp and your last patch "Add
500us delay only for MSI machines (v2.6.28)" it shows this AC problems

so, what then ? of course having properly working ACPI is one thing, but why
some user space behaves differently ?
