This delay is just a delay. Processor does nothing, but eats electricity for
half microsecond... hopefully, some interrupt will be serviced during this time
and it will not be wasted completely. If OEM does not care to differentiate
itself by filling DMI, there is not much we can do. The other way would be to
introduce kernel parameter, and then ask every user with such machine to learn
how to set it.
