hah, good catch.
it seems that system freezes when kde invokes some ACPI functions.
yeah, you're right that this seems to be an ACPI problem.
I googled for "gnome-power-manager-desktop NOT RESPONDING", and it seems that
this may be an EC regression.
Alexey, can you confirm this?
