I have a similar problem: after a suspend-to-ram, the Synaptics touch pad
driver stops working correctly (the scroll features do not work, but I can move
and click the mouse).

There is nothing suspicious in either kernel and X logs. This problem appeared
only when I've installed 2.6.28 (any minor version, currently I have .8). This
problem was not seen in either 2.6.25 or .27. My laptop is a Benq Joybook S32B.

Now I've skimmed through the replies, and tried the thing with echo ... >
/sys/bus/..., and didn't worked. (I must mention that if I restart X server the
problem is fixed until the next susspend. This is not an X problem, as with
another kernel, the same "experiment" works.)

If anyone wants me to try some patch, I'm up for it!
