This has been most evidenced by Ubuntu Intrepid (see here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/272247?comments=all ) But
I have had the same issue using openSUSE 11.1 x86_64 and that bug I linked to
has a bunch of duplicates also.
That bug on launchpad has more information than I could hope to condense here,
but it's quite a few people who are having this issue.
