--- Comment #40 from ykzhao <yakui.z...@intel.com> 2009-06-08 09:30:29 --- Hi, Pascal Sorry for the late response. And thanks for the confirm again. From the above test in comment #39/34 it seems that the box can be booted with the following options: a. nolapic_timer b. processor.max_cstate=1 (the processor can be waken up from C1 by the local APIC timer interrupt). In fact when the boot option of "nolapic_timer" is used, the local APIC timer is replaced by broadcast timer. And the cpu can be waken up from C1 by the broadcast timer. But unfortunately it can't waken up from C2/C3 by the broadcast timer. Will you please try the following boot options and see whether the box can be booted? 1. hpet=disable 2. acpi_skip_timer_override thanks. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ OpenSolaris 2009.06 is a cutting edge operating system for enterprises looking to deploy the next generation of Solaris that includes the latest innovations from Sun and the OpenSource community.
