Summary: Invalid min and max cpu frequencies Product: ACPI Version: 2.5 Kernel Version: 2.6.26, 2.6.29 Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Tree: Mainline Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P1 Component: Config-Processors AssignedTo: acpi_config-process...@kernel-bugs.osdl.org ReportedBy: mukik...@gmail.com Regression: No I have an asus laptop, F5Sr-AP087E, with an Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 @ 2.0GHz but acpi_cpufreq, which is the driver loaded for changing the P-states, remains stuck at 1.34 GHz, even that windows vista business 32 changes the processors freqs from 2 GHz to 1.4 GHz through 1.6 and 1.8 GHz that I've seen. Any attempts to change manually the frequency bounds has been useless. /proc/cpuinfo, cpufreq-info, etc.. all show only that freq as available but dmesg shows its maximum is 2 GHz and that it has 8 throttling states. I have a Debian testing (squeeze) for x86_64 with both testing (2.6.26) and unstable (2.6.29) kernel. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching the assignee of the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Crystal Reports - New Free Runtime and 30 Day Trial Check out the new simplified licensing option that enables unlimited royalty-free distribution of the report engine for externally facing server and web deployment. http://p.sf.net/sfu/businessobjects _______________________________________________ acpi-bugzilla mailing list acpi-bugzilla@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/acpi-bugzilla
