My DSDT has errors in it that can be fixed, but runtime DSDT replacement is no
longer available.
The basic problem is the following message:

Followed 500ms afterwards by

The fan control of the laptop sometimes acts berserk, spinning up then down
again repeatedly. Other than that, I guess the only problem is the
(theoretical) CPU usage of polling mode.
