Hmm, interesting. So apparently something is triggering the BIOS to swap out
the working MSFT DSDT with the horribly wrong INTL version. And apparently this
doesn't happen on Windows 7.

One thing is that if you're using 2.6.31 it appears that kernel version didn't
report Windows 2009 (i.e. Windows 7) compatibility. Mike, would you be able to
test 2.6.32, which does, and see if the behavior changes (without extra
patches)? It's possible that if the BIOS detects Windows 7 that it doesn't swap
out the DSDT.

It goes without saying that whatever BIOS engineer at Toshiba thought that
swapping out the DSDT at runtime was a good idea needs some serious
re-education. I can't imagine any OS reacting well to this (especially since
the one it swaps in seems totally busted).
