Thanks for the test. I don't know enough to go on further, having a lapic
suspend function for one CPU only looked bogus and I hoped the machine behaved
better without any or with executing this on each core.
Could you still attach /proc/interrupts if things go wrong if you have time for
an extra boot. The idea is that we might see that the irqs are coming from the
thermal vector which gets some extra handling in the suspend functions or some
similar hint.
