My bios version is F.05 (07/28/2009). Had a look at 610 updates page:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDownloadEventHandler.jsp?redirectReason=SWD_FTP_Request&swItem=ob-71707-1&prodSeriesId=3958407&prodLine=KV&targetPage=ftp%3A%2F%2Fftp.hp.com%2Fpub%2Fsoftpaq%2Fsp43501-44000/sp43692.exe&filesize=2227072

There are bios updates but this page doesn't mention such a fix:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=3958407&swItem=ob-78864-1&prodNameId=3958408&swEnvOID=1093&swLang=8&taskId=135&mode=5

Updating the bios might help, but AFAICT bios upgrade requires
windows which is very sad since I don't have it.

Thanks,
Ali
