Summary: Battery status is updated only on AC on/off
           Product: ACPI
           Version: 2.5
    Kernel Version: 2.6.32 (Debian 2.6.32-5-686)
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
              Tree: Mainline
            Status: NEW
          Severity: high
          Priority: P1
         Component: Power-Battery
        AssignedTo: acpi_power-batt...@kernel-bugs.osdl.org
        ReportedBy: masel...@fastwebnet.it
        Regression: No

On a Acer Travelmate 2301, the battery status (energy, current, etc.) doesn't
get updated, unless events are triggered (e.g. charger disconnection).

Example, with charger on, an old reading is reported:

testu...@castor:~$ cat /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/energy_now
1120000

Immediately after, having unplugged the charger in order to trigger an event,
sysfs gets updated:

testu...@castor:~$ cat /sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/energy_now
13600000
