Just providing the steps to reproduce the problem: 1- install Arch Linux 64-bit and $(pacman -Syu laptop-mode-tools). 2- enable "laptop-mode" in /etc/rc.conf (DAEMONS array). 3- make sure "e1000e" kernel module is loaded. 4- reboot then shutdown. At this time the system should crash. I have a T510 so let me know if you can provide us with a patch so we can try to reproduce the issue, verify that the problem is fixed and report back.
