Hi, I am reopening this bug because (1) it is not clear to me that it really is
a duplicate of bug 14733 (the error message mostly matches, but I see none of
the other symptoms reported by others in that bug); and (2) something has
changed between kernels 3.0.1 and 3.0.3.
In 3.0.1 I still got these error messages periodically. In 3.0.3 I now do not
seem to be getting them, but another message has appeared that I've never seen
before:
[122286.091067] ACPI: EC: GPE storm detected, transactions will use polling
mode
This doesn't sound good either.
Note: There is one ACPI/PM config difference between the 3.0.1 and 3.0.3
kernels - "CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME=y" was added.
