After changing the motherboard from an ASUS M2V-MX SE (VIA based) to an ASUS
M2A-VM (SB600) [1] I am seeing the following ACPI warning in the output of
`dmesg`.

[…]
[ 1.113990] ehci_hcd: USB 2.0 'Enhanced' Host Controller (EHCI) Driver
[ 1.122391] ACPI: Fan [FAN] (on)
[ 1.129934] ACPI Warning: For \_TZ_.THRM._PSL: Return Package has no
elements (empty) (20110623/nspredef-463)
[ 1.129943] ACPI: [Package] has zero elements (ffff8800372f3d80)
[ 1.129982] ACPI: Invalid passive threshold
[ 1.130189] thermal LNXTHERM:00: registered as thermal_zone0
[ 1.130192] ACPI: Thermal Zone [THRM] (40 C)
[…]

I am not sure what that means and if these ACPI messages are related or if each
presents a problem by itself.

Searching for the error »Return Package has no elements« on the Web, I could
not find something useful and just that other boards seem to have that problem
to.

The BIOS version is 1604.

Could you clarify the error message in the beginning. That means if that is due
to the board (chipset?) itself, some wrong wiring or the ACPI implementation(?)
in the BIOS.
