Summary: Toshiba C855D-S5305 appears to have broken tables Product: ACPI Version: 2.5 Kernel Version: 3.6.11-3.fc18.x86_64 Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Tree: Fedora Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P1 Component: BIOS AssignedTo: acpi_b...@kernel-bugs.osdl.org ReportedBy: m...@mossholder.com Regression: No Created an attachment (id=90091) --> (https://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=90091) acpidump output I got a pair of these for my kids for the holidays. They will not boot linux without acpi_no_auto_ssdt. However, without the SSDTs, they don't believe they have a battery, and so will pretty much just run until the battery gives out, without any warnings. I am sure there are other issues I haven't recognized. Booting without acpi_no_auto_ssdt causes the IOAPIC not to be recognized, leading to all kinds of fun. iasl -d spots several issues, and won't even decompile SSDT1 due to a namespace issue. ASL.exe /u also produces similarly broken output. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching the assignee of the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Master Java SE, Java EE, Eclipse, Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript, jQuery and much more.
