Jake Edge <j...@lwn.net> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |j...@lwn.net --- Comment #2 from Jake Edge <j...@lwn.net> 2013-04-14 12:42:24 --- I have seen the same basic behavior on all kernels > 3.6.11 on an HP/Compaq 2510p laptop (acpidump attached as requested). After a resume, the fan spins up to full speed and stays there, no matter what the system is doing. "temp6" in "acpitz-virtual-0" shows +100°C and stays there, which is presumably why the fan stays on. In earlier kernels, I have seen some odd behavior with temp6, but always 50° or lower (including some amusing 0° readings). I have verified this with 3.9-rc6 and tried Rui's thermal branch yesterday (13 April 2013) without success. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching the assignee of the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Precog is a next-generation analytics platform capable of advanced analytics on semi-structured data.
