--- Comment #116 from Bryan Stine <[email protected]> --- In my experience with NP900X4C, the originally shipped Windows system suspended on lid immediately. I believe some part of Samsung's Easy Settings program, or perhaps some OEM driver they shipped with Windows, may have prodded something to make it behave better. Eventually, after removing the original installation of Windows and using a "vanilla" Windows 7 in dual boot with Linux, lid close detection was delayed in Windows as well. In addition to the delay on lid close notifications, the EC workaround also has no apparent effect on the inability of the lid to wake the system from S3 (with or without my weak attempts at DSDT hacks). Thanks for the excellent work, Juan. Your work is a great breakthrough on what has been a major pain for many Samsung users. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching the assignee of the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Managing the Performance of Cloud-Based Applications Take advantage of what the Cloud has to offer - Avoid Common Pitfalls.
