Just upgraded kernel from 3.13.19->3.14.1 and found backlight stays on full -
and 
function keys do nothing.

Investigating, using function keys _does_ increase/decrease brightness values
in:

/sys/class/backlight/samsung/brightness

but backlight always remains on full and ignores these values.

I also have:

/sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness

but that value mysteriously always remains set at 12421.

Backlight control works perfectly on all 3.13.* series, including latest
3.13.10
