Problems with screen brightness adjustment in the current versions of the
kernel. The screen is all the time on maximum brightness and does not adjust.
"This problem is similar to the Windows 8.1 display brightness problem?"

                                   DESCRIPTION:
For a long time I am having trouble with the screen brightness setting on my
notebook, this problem started from the kernel 3:14, I thought it was just a
simple problem and that with future versions of the kernel that would be
resolved. But the problem persists to this day, I tested almost all Linux
distributions on my notebook and all had the same problem, so I decided to make
the kernel downgrade to earlier versions (for example: [3.13.6] [3.13.0] [3:12
.0]), then the shine had gone back to work, concludes that the problems were
actually the kernel. Resorted to forums, I lost several hours testing,
modifying, but without success.

I do not understand why the kernel versions earlier than 3:14 this problem did
not exist and now in current versions, this problem appears.

This ends up bothering a bit because every time after installing a recent Linux
distribution I build an "old" version of the kernel on the computer.

I tried to solve the problem alone, but it still fails.
