            Bug ID: 219043
Summary: AMD 7950x-based system doesn't wake up from sleep
           Product: ACPI
           Version: 2.5
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: Power-Sleep-Wake
          Assignee: acpi_power-sleep-w...@kernel-bugs.osdl.org
          Reporter: saverio.p...@gmail.com
        Regression: No

On my AMD 7950x-based system, approximately 25% of the times, the system
doesn't wake up from sleep.

The problem is caused by the firmware of the motherboard (MAG B650M MORTAR WIFI
(MS-7D76)); the very first version of the BIOS (A10) doesn't suffer from this
problem, but any subsequent version does.

I've contacted the MSI support, but they've been useless, and the firmware
changelog is equally useless.

After posting bug https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=218982, and
observing the fix, I was wondering if there is some way to debug this problem
and/or work it around, as I presume that the cause may be related.

I compile the kernel by itself. When I've assembled the machine, the kernel
was, I think, already version 6.8 or 6.9. I haven't tested previous kernel
versions.
