HP PROBOOK 445 G8 (AMD 5800U)
On 6.14 suspend to disk is non functional.
Displays turn off and power button LED remains on. Unresponsive.
Kernel log contains one line about entering suspension as normal.
At the time of attempted suspension multiple peripherals attached:
USBC-hub w/ power & display connected
USB keyboard, mouse, hub w/ multiple unmounted storage drives.
HDMI display
role of peripherals if any: unknown.
Bug encountered thrice in succession before rollback to 6.12.
suspension method:
printf platform > /sys/power/disk
printf disk > /sys/power/state
While suspension on previous kernels always worked it was not clean:
Displays would turn on briefly in a frozen state before final shutdown.
After resume there is a high chance of amdgpu misbehavior:
dmesg repeating spam: (no indications of any other side-effects, possibly
harmless)
