Fans are not working on my Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen 7, seemingly due to an ACPI
related bug. The problem is not just with monitoring or active control but the
fans stay silent. BIOS hardware tests show that it is not a hardware fault with
either the fan or the fan sensor.
It seems to be an issue specific to this new Thinkpad model. Other users of
this laptop report the same problem:
