Currently, similar problems have appeared on three sound cards where the speakers are not working (two of the patches I submitted are for ALC294 codecs). Since I am not sure whether the previous submitter's use of the ALC287_FIXUP_TAS2781_I2C quirk actually made their sound card work properly, I used HDA_CODEC_QUIRK to keep the original entry (even though the computer models appear to be essentially the same). However, I have a question: would it be more appropriate to simply replace the existing entry instead? -- You may reply to this email to add a comment.
