--- Comment #7 from Andrew ([email protected]) --- Observation: I went to sleep for about ~2 hours, leaving my laptop in sleep mode after making a slight change to my usual routine: instead of shutting it down via the OS interface as I usually do, I just simply closed the lid. When I opened the lid and touched the touchpad, no failure occurred. The SLPB variable was disabled* but I can't confirm it's influence on the actual result yet.
