If you are looking to reduce the length of the number, this will work:
FormatNumber(averageRS("AvRating"), 2)
Using your example below of 4.8571428571428571428571428571, the output would be 4.86.

It seemed to work great...until more folks entered their ratings. Some
results end up needing a 11" inch page width to display the number!
