I realise that this is not an ASP question, but hope there are those amongst you who can answer this question without going overboard on the technicalities. What are the advantages / disadvantages or having a local DNS server? I am having serious Server problems and am trying to isolate the problem, so have disabled the DNS server to see if this solves the problem. The problem itself is a whole new topic.
