I've been writing lots of DB applications on our intranet and website for a
couple of years now. I've learned a lot in that time, and I've enjoyed it.
Most of what I've done is to view/add/delete/modify Access databases. I
have stuck to ASP classic, and haven't even tried .net yet.

I got a free copy of VB.net standard, and would like to try to make some
standalone programs to do similar functions to what I've done via IIS.

Any suggestions on learning to do this? What has always helped me the most
is to take a sample and adapt it to my own needs. Then, when I've learned
how that worked, I could repeat it the next time I needed it. Is there a
source of VB projects that would help me get used to this?
