A great resource for .net information (that you can use while offline, too!) is the asp.net ClassBrowser that is included in asp.net WebMatrix ( http://asp.net/webmatrix/ ). Once you get Win2K or XP installed and get a chance, install WebMatrix and play around inside the ClassBrowser. It provides a ready guide to how to use all of the objects and resources within the .net framework, and, though it's not perfect (it can be stressful looking for the _best_ way to accomplish something), it provides you with the exact methodology to do many common things and work with the many exposed interfaces.
