Ross, You always get a "1" back because the running of the batch file succeeded. It wasn't necessarily going to tell you the internal commands' errorlevels. I haven't tried this, but you might investigate the CALL & QUIT batch commands. QUIT seems to take a /B parameter which is the returned value, so maybe QUIT /B %ERRORLEVEL% might work as the last statement in your batch file. Dave
