Yes, the problem is you got the install backwards. IIS MUST be installed BEFORE the framework.
The Sequence would be: Windows 2000 IIS ALL updates. Visual Studio (it'll install the framework anyway) (include the ASP support here) ALL updates Then any optional add-on's. =) that should take care of the problem. And to answer the question, it'll be much easier to start over with the installs Then try to 'fix' how you did it the first time.
