My 4D based web site is starting hard to maintain because I only use 4D and
A4D. I read about Fusebox and I believe it can reduce the maintenance
problem I have now.
It has nothing to do with A4D or 4D, one can write a hard-to-maintain web site with PHP, JSP, ASP, etc.
Fusebox can definitely help.
I know nothing about ColdFusion, will it make it harder to learn Fusebox?
Not really, the concepts and architecture of Fusebox are independent of ColdFusion. You should have no problem translating ColdFusion code into Active4D.
