It than means that to be sure to "see" all records in all cases,
the minimum
batch size must be set to 1.
Am I right ?
So why setting the default to 2 as it leaves rooms for not
displaying all
records.
If the minimum batch size is not met, the orphaned rows are included
in the _previous_ batch. This is all described quite clearly in the
documentation ("How Baches Are Calculated", page 417).
