I am tentatively trying to use internet-enabled dmg files for the download of the next version of our software on MacOS X but I can't get Active4d to find the file (returns always 404) when the url contains the name of such a
file.
I works fine if the file is binary encoded but it does not work if the dmg file is simply internet enabled while working fromt he same location with an
Apache web server.

Did you add .dmg to ExtensionMap.ini in the Active4D folder? It isn't there by default. As a security measure, files with unknown extensions will always return a 404.
