Hi,

I've been banging my head trying to get AJAX posted form variables in UTF8
format converted to mac roman.

Having read the release notes for 4.5r1:

- Ajax requests are automatically detected via the X-Requested-With header
and
the content charset is set to “UTF-8”. Under 4D 2004/NTK/ITK, Ajax posted
form
variables are automatically converted from UTF-8 to Mac Roman.

Is it safe to assume my problem is that I'm using 4D 2003 with the built in
web server?

Would my problem be solved if.... I converted to the NTK shell?

I used to use the ITK shell, but because of lack of support I switched over
to using 4D's built in web server (front ended with Apache).

Just to be a little more specific, the problem is with things like the euro
character, the british pound symbol and accented characters coming over
garbled.

Regards

James.
