This is probably not an Active4D problem, but I thought I'd ask here in
case anyone else has seen a similar problem.

I have a non-A4D cgi page that contains links to A4D-based admin pages.
We don't develop new cgi stuff (old Netlink-style pages that use an
NTK-based HTTP server) anymore, but have extended functionality in that
site to use Active4D.

This site uses rewrite rules to route the cgi pages and Active4D to the
appropriate "servers".

The problem I'm seeing is that if a user clicks one of these links they
get the error page that would result if the rewrite proxy would fail (a
502 error). This would normally occur if the 4D web server running
Active4D (or the CGI app) was not running. It is. This error on recently
appeared. There are other CGI pages that contain links to A4D pages that
do not exhibit this problem.

What is strange is that if you retype the last character of the A4D URL
in the address bar the page will serve fine.

I have set up Apache for rewrite debug, I can see that failure occurs
but nothing obvious appears as to why?

Has anyone else experienced something similar? Can you recall what the
problem was?

Thanks,

Brad Perkins
