A customer of mine recently reported that they measured v11's web
serving efficiency as being 60% less than 4D 2004.
Not believing this, I dug out my stress testing kit and - sure enough
- for a simple static page in a new database serving out of 4D's
default folder, v11 struggled to to get near to 50% of the page output
per hour than 4D 2004 was doing (socket error rates were similar).
Then I tried NTK. Same result - it was a lot better on errors (by
setting a longer backlog queue) but no better than v11 native web
server on speed.
Is there a known reason for this change in efficiency ? Has anyone got
real world experience of heavy web loads under v11 ?
