Yes, I forgot to mention that it is in a transaction. The refactoring was actually making the save routine that this method is a part of simpler. It use to update or create up to five different records. (combination registration/login and/or update or create an application). I separated the registration/login part so it was down to three records. The [applicationdata] record is the first update call in the routine. I'm checking my version of the data with 4dtools. Then will try to write a simulation test script that mimics the process without all the states changes. This was the last state of 4 (4 input forms).
