re: Sublime - uses Python for extensibility.. I have not tried anything yet.. it was just nice enough as a text editor for large data files that I adopted it right away. For me, most Windows text editors just felt wonky compared to Textmate etc.
I second Mike's recommendation, I use Coda for all my web stuff. Rock-solid source and uploading functionality. Coda is based on the same FTP/transfer engine as Transmit, another perennial favorite for FTP.
