A user reported a problem to me that may have always existed, but being that this app has running since 2004 I'm wondering if something has changed Active4D.
I have some code that returns a formatted table row HTML by processing a template with 'param text'. This is used in an application where cost estimates are provided. They can also provide a comment. Comment values that contain a dollar entry are not being displayed correctly. If someone enters a comment such as "Pete's estimate was vague but near $100,000" the output text will be "Pete's estimate was vague but near " It seems to be eating the $1 and everything after that. I've verified this happens with any $ + digit entry. $1, $2 etc. have meaning in 4D as parameter markers. hmmm? Is this a bug in param text, or is it expected behavior and do I need to do something to escape the input before processing? Mac OS X Server 11.6.latest 4D 11.8 Remote (web client) A4D 5r27 Thanks, Brad _______________________________________________ Active4D-dev mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.aparajitaworld.com/mailman/listinfo/active4d-dev Archives: http://mailman.aparajitaworld.com/archive/active4d-dev/
