You should definitely be ignoring IE 6, it's hopeless and not worth supporting any more. It's probably the single most destructive piece of software ever written. Even Microsoft wants it to die. If you can, ignore IE 7 as well, it isn't much better. You'll have to do some research on caching with IE, it doesn't follow the standards.
