Active4D v6.4r1, the ultimate web development environment for 4D, has just been
released.
This is a major feature release:
• Major revamp of the NTK shell:
• Support for gzip compression of responses.
• Support for HTTP Keep-Alive.
• Dynamic allocation of listeners.
• Better error handling and conformance to the HTTP specification.
• Added A4D_HTTPD_StopServer and A4D_HTTPD_StartServer for completely stopping
and restarting the HTTP server without closing the db.
• The default compression format in the NTK shell is gzip when using NTK 3.1 or
later.
• Fixed some bugs in handling of non-executables.
• Fixed handling of license timeouts, which now appear as standard Active4D
error pages and return the status 403 Forbidden to the browser.
• Improved logging of request parsing errors.
• 'log message' now auto-converts the first parameter to a string.
• Various updates and fixes to the documentation.
Active4D v6.3 licenses that are up to date do not need to purchase an upgrade,
but a new license key must be requested via email. Upgrades from previous
versions can be purchased online.
