It really doesn't require a resource to config or maintain, it is installed in about a day and monitors availability, performance and security of networks, systems and applications in real time or historically with notification capabilities. They're here http://www.silverbacktech.com If you don't have time to roll your own or the time & money to pay someone, this is an excellent choice.
