Devan,

I have built 150 Compaq/HP DL380 Servers and all of them were Hardware RAID
5
If I am not mistaken you only need 3 drives in order to perform RAID 5.
All hot swappable drives. I do forget the SCSI controller I used but I
hand built them all.

So I am not understanding the last message that said you would have gone
RAID 5
but you only have 6 drive bays. Please explain if you will.

Please include any RAID documentation that led you to this conclusion.

Inquiring minds!!!

Michael Penland
