[ActiveDir] SP2 vs SP4 during a migration

We have a small AD environment, with the DC's still at SP2.  We're about to 
migrate a second AD environment into ours.  The second environment is also 
SP2, but has around 400 DC's, so upgrading them all isn't practical.

My question is, would it be advisable to keep our DC's at SP2 or go to SP4 
before migrating over the other AD?  Or should we maintain SP2 since that's 
what they're at, too?

Would there be any advantage to upgrading the second AD's FSMO holders or 
anything like that?

Any thoughts are welcome.
